With COVID still around it just didn’t feel right for Mario and I to hit the town and celebrate big with a themed couples costume like we usually do 😩
so sad to say – our KimYe costume was not revived for another season 🤣
Pizza Party
This year instead, Mario and I made the most of staying in!
We ordered a jumbo cheese pizza from SPANKY’s – if you’re in Houston and haven’t tried them… call now and place an order!
Spanky’s cheese pizza is exactly like the cheese pizza you see in every movie EVER made.
It’s honestly perfect.
Thin – but not thin crust. Add extra cheese for the PERFECT ratio to sauce. I could go on..
But let me just say this, Mario and I have ordered a ton of pizza in our day.
Never have we ever finished a whole pizza…
UNTIL NOW!
I felt bad “cheating on” Frank’s Pizza to try SPANKY’s… but honestly, I may never go back to Frank’s.
SPANKY’s pizza is hands down, the best large slice, classic pizza in all of Houston.
Arguably the world!
Netflix & Chill
We enjoyed our pizza in our pajamas watching classic Halloween films.
Of course, we had all our candy favorites, including my favorites – Reese’s pumpkins 🎃

If you’ve met me, you know I love a good theme. I honestly believe every party or gathering should have one.
It sets the dress code, sets the menu and sets the whole vibe for the whole occasion!
And just because we stayed in, doesn’t mean our spooky celebration deserved any less!
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again
Dessert Gallery in Houston is my favorite bakery in the entire world.
I never thought I’d find another spectacular bakery after our family favorite, Becker’s Bakery, since 1925 of Nashville, TN closed down💔
But Sara Brook and her Dessert Gallery put my bakery broken heart back together when I moved to Houston in 2016.
Now, no celebration is complete without some of Sara’s sweets!
I MEAN LOOK AT THOSE SUGAR SKULLS!!
The attention to detail ALWAYS tastes as good as it looks.. idk how she does it, but she never compromises taste by design.
Pizza & Wine
Only the perfect pairing, am I right!?
I know people love pizza and beer but they BOTH make you SO full, like too full.
Who wants that when you can sip some wine and feel just as fine, without the bloating 🤣
I have loved Stella Rosa Wine
since my very first apartment’s house warming party. A friend gifted me a bottle and now I always keep a bottle in my house. It’s sweet but not syrupy. It’s refreshing with its moscato like “bubbles” and it tastes just as delicious off the wine rack as it does chilled!
The limited edition bottles covered in sugar skulls were just too cute to pass up! And of course, matched the theme 😝
So whether you celebrate Halloween or Dia de Muertos, or you’re just looking ahead to Thanksgiving and Christmas, make sure you #stellabrate with Stella Rosa wine!
