Can you believe it’s the weekend already?
I am so ready for it and I’m even more excited for what travel Mario and I have planned! One of the amazing things about living in Houston is that there are so many fabulous weekend destinations just a quick road trip away.
This weekend we are headed off to Austin! Austin will always have a special place in my heart because its the first little getaway Mario ever planned for us. In addition to its sentimental value, Austin has so much to offer from its diversity of delicious food, amazing night life and of course, it is home to some of our favorite friends. ♥

Anyone who has been ANYWHERE with me knows I can get carsick. The first way I try to prevent this is by dressing in cool clothes with light layers and then I always pack a blanket.
Since we have plans for dinner at Lucy’s Fried Chicken right when we arrive, I thought it would be best to travel in what I plan to wear for dinner.
This is now my 2nd pair of Good American denim shorts and I have to say I am pretty obsessed. The quality is comparable AG or Rag and Bone but for a slightly more affordable price point. The button fly is one of my favorite details and it can be so hard to find in women’s denim!
My silk scarf I tied as a headband is from Louis Vuitton. The vivid colors and whimsical Paris scene with monogram luggage are what instantly drew me in. To own a gorgeous piece of LV for only $180 – what’s not to love?!
My Yeezy 500 sneakers are the most comfortable shoe you will ever own. Since they make this shoe in both Men’s and Women’s, make sure you double check when buying online!
