My Hometown Hero
We will get to the baseball stuff in a minute, but first let me formally reveal my love, my best friend and the man behind Fendi and French Fries, Mario!
Fun fact – we almost never met because I almost never moved to Houston. Back in 2016, I had set my sights on Chicago as the next city I’d move to for my career. In Chicago, I would be sharing the city with my longest and most fashionable best friend [ Ally you’re the best ♥ ] and several sorority sisters from college. In addition, Chicago is only a 4 hour drive from my parents, so it seemed like the perfect city!
Well, everything truly happens for a reason because Houston has turned out to be my greatest adventure yet. Houston is now more than a city, it is my home where I have furthered my career and my dreams, built a family out of friends, and found the greatest love of my life!

Mario and I LOVE our Major League Baseball team, 2017 World Series Champions,
the Houston Astros!
The scoreboard picture above is actually from Opening Day this year. I thought it would be fun to share now as it honestly just goes to show how much we love the Astros.
We couldn’t miss ringing in a new season with these boys!
Not only is our team fun to watch, but our stadium is part of what makes every game fun too. Minute Maid Stadium actually has a retractable roof, so no matter how hot it is, rain or shine, we get to enjoy watching our Houston Astros.
Stadium Style
What to wear to the ballpark or any sporting event can be kinda tricky. I always opt for 1 of 2 things. In the summer, shorts or a casual A-line dress to flow away from my body and keep me cool. In the winter, for basketball season etc. I always wear jeans, a cute top and an “on brand” team colored hoodie.
For tonight’s game, I opted for shorts over a dress. If you have been following since day 1 you can already guess what brand of jean shorts I am wearing. Yep, you guessed it! Good American jean shorts for the win! A less shredded simply distressed pair can be found here.

My bandana is only $5.99 and is actually a part of a “buy 2 get 2 free” promotion! I stocked up and grabbed a red one for the Rockets plus a pink and a green to tie my hair back in the summer.
My Yeezy 500 Sneakers I have mentioned before. I am obsessed with these. Again, they are so comfortable with an orthopedic sole, so a lot of walking is no big deal! You can also find additional sizes here.
Of course, to round out the whole baseball theme I went full “Wendy Peffercorn” from The Sandlot, and threw on my favorite cat eye Miu Miu sunnies!
